The Truth About Who Controls The World

Many times I hear people saying that God is LETTING bad things in this world happen. My pastor spoke of this during a Sunday Service and it touched me. I just remembered it now and I wanted to share it. God doesn't control this world. God gave that control to Adam when He created Adam and told him he[Adam] had authority over the land with his wife Eve. Now, when Adam and Eve sinned and listened to the devil, eating of the tree of knowledge when they were told not to, they gave up that authority to the devil. Now, does that mean that God doesn't care what happens to us? Of course not! That, I'm sure, is one of the many reasons He sent His son to die for us. Jesus died a HORRIBLE PAINFUL death so we wouldn't have to suffer. My pastor spoke of taking back the authority FROM the devil. When Jesus beat him[the devil] at his own game, Jesus got authority of this world back from the devil and gave it to us. We can either chose to hold onto that authority and do God's work and live a prosperous, fulfilling life, or we can chose to give it BACK to the devil in many ways. Just a few are 1) Worrying. When you worry, you are taking your faith from God, and putting it into the world system which is corrupt and will fail you. But when you put your faith back into God, it takes time to grow faith, but it can be done, it's not a one time thing. It takes practice, practice, practice and trust over and over again that God is going to provide for you as He promises he will. Now that doesn't mean He'll give us whatever we want, whenever we want. He knows what He's doing and He knows what we need to have happen to us to help us grow. Trusting in Him is knowing that He's going to help you through anything that comes your way. 2) Not believing we HAVE the authority. If we don't believe that we have authority over the devil, it gives him more power. You don't have to do much to accept the authority from Jesus. All you have to do, is open your mind and your heart to him. Jesus loves you more than you will EVER understand and he wants to see you grow into a wonderful strong warrior for God. You can make the change from a Worrier to a WARRIOR of God. But only you can make the change. Now back to what I was saying at the beginning, God is a loving God. He doesn't have authority over the Earth anymore because, as I said before, He gave it to Adam and Adam in turn gave it to the devil. Now, that doesn't mean that God can't work in this world. Bad things will happen, yes, it sucks; But God USES those bad things and helps people grow into a stronger warrior for Him and USES those bad times to strengthen His army's faith. We can't ever grow if we just stay where we are, never go through hard times, and shy away from said hard times. We need to learn from our mistakes and allow God to guide us where He wants us to be. It doesn't matter what you've done in your past, whether it be 10 years ago, 3 years ago, 5 months ago, last week or yesterday. You can be 100 years old and God can still use you as a strong warrior. Are you willing to be a warrior for God? Like any journey, you can never get anywhere unless you take that first step.
