I got this from facebook and lately I've seen a lot of people saying that we need to separate religion from politics, how a person looks at the world, ect. The thing is...YOU CAN'T SEPARATE THEM!!! A person's belief/faith a good portion of the time is a big part of who they are. Their belief/faith affects how they view things, how they think about things, and so much more. You can't expect people to just put aside their belief just because you don't like it or agree with it. That's garbage. This picture is the truth. Jesus is my SAVIOR and a part of my life. I will NOT be separated from him just because someone else doesn't like that I make my decisions and have my own opinions based on my relationship with my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

As a wiccan this actually applies to me. I was raised Christian and then leaned towards Wicca because it was more nature based... I DO believe in Jesus though. I don't know if he was the son of God or if he preformed miracles or whatever... to me it doesn't matter whether he did or didn't.

What matters to me was that he was a man... and he was scared... He didn't want to die, but he did. He truly believed that he got up on that cross to die for our sins. The fact that he did that is a beautiful thing regardless if he was the son of God or not.

Wonderfully said. I was raised with a mix of things, mostly Christian but it wasn't really enforced in the house. The church I go to now, is one of my own choosing, it's a Christian church and the people there are my second family. My pastor is a father figure for me for what to look for in a man, someone spiritually strong. Though I'm close to both my biological dad and step-dad, neither of them are very spiritual(Yes they've got their faith, but it's not shown very well[at least to me]) so my pastor is an example for me to look up to I appreciate that my pastor has taught us to welcome people with open arms. What's amazing is we have a previous drug dealer who's now an usher. My pastor used to be into drugs, drinking, smoking, partying, all that heavy duty stuff, but then he got saved(all because he was trying to get with the pastor's daughter) and his life got changed. He's shown me so much hope because of the stuff in my past, nothing as serious but still some heavy stuff, and I love him so much for it. My brother and sister(And possibly my cousin) are wiccan, and I adore them all very much and respect their choices in faith, I'm glad there are people like you who are so open to accepting others faiths, it's very rare.
