Christian Lifestyle=Tough Life

You know something…I'm getting real sick and tired of people saying that religion is for weak minded people. They obviously haven't tried it. Being a Christian has been a hard part of my life all my life. Being able to see something and believe it's there is one thing. But to believe in something that you can't see physically, that you can't touch. It's hard! And to not only believe in that unseen force, but trust that the said unseen force LOVES YOU, wants the best for YOU, wants to see YOU grow as a person, and wants YOU to TRUST in the ability that it has…It's HARD! I grew up Christian most of my life but I struggled back and forth going to church then falling out of it then going back and I just bounced around a lot unsure. Now that I'm older, 24, It's not any easier than it was when I was 10!

God asks us to trust him when it comes to finances, healing, support, addiction freedom, anything and everything that could ever hold us down, God wants us to trust in Him that we will be freed of it. Is it easy? To tithe money to God, trusting in Him that He WILL provide all of your needs according to HIS riches and glory? Does God need our money? No. But we need to give it to Him. Not because He needs it, but because WE need it to survive on this earth-BUT we trust in HIM more than we trust in whatever we believe the money will get us. All God wants from us…is our heart. Is it that hard to give it to Him? Sometimes yeah. The things of this world can start to control us and lead us away from God and slowly our trust in Him starts to faulter…but when we take that thing that we know we need to survive on this physical world and give just 10%(that's 90% for yourself!) to Him, we're showing that we trust in him more than we do material things of this world.

The life of a Christian isn't an easy one. I've seen so many of my fellow brothers and sisters being bashed for their belief. Being called names for standing up for what they believe in and spit on(figuratively of course) and treated like the scum of the earth for believing in what they believe. But what I have to say goes out to all of them. Stand strong. Life may suck right now, you may feel attacked, hurt, wounded, crying out for help, or just plain feel lost or stuck; but you know what? God hears your cries. Every. Single. One. He hears our cries of physical pain, of emotional pain, financial pain, romance pain, every single cry He hears. And He's not ignoring us if we don't get an answer right away. I mean it!

God isn't like a vending machine where we put in a prayer and we get what we want automatically. If we did, we would only go to God when we needed something from Him. That's not what He wants. He wants us to come to Him because we want to be close to Him, to grow in a relationship with Him as our father, our HEAVENLY father. He does hear our prayers. Every single one of them. Even though at times it feels like He's not listening all He's saying to you is "in my time." Thought many times we don't want to listen to that. It took me so long to realize that just because I prayed about it and it didn't happen that instant, didn't mean that God had forsaken me or forgotten about me or hadn't even listened to me.

This life we chose to walk as a Christian isn't an easy one. But it's worth it in the end. We get to spend forever, FOREVER with our heavenly father. Where there will be no more pain, loss, heart-ache, physical pain, physical sickness, mental sickness, anything negative. It will all be gone forever. Until then, we need to stay strong in not only our faith, but supporting each other and keeping our fellow brothers and sisters from being beaten down by this world. I'll close by saying this; Never let go of your faith. Though times may be hard, the one thing that will always be constant is God's love for you. Through thick and thin, good times and bad; nothing you EVER do or have ever done, will ever make God love you any more or any less. He meets you where you are and brings you up to where He has planned for you. God bless all of you and all my love to you.
