CORRECT representation

The rainbow represented God's promise to never flood the world again CENTURIES before it was EVER used to approve of sinful actions. In my mind, it is wrong that people use these colors that represent God to represent something he does not approve of.

Now, I'm probably going to get hate on this, but I will respect your right to a different opinion, as long as you do so respectfully. The moment you are disrespectful, I will hide your comments. This may be a public site, but this is MY art and MY page. You don't like what you see? You don't HAVE to comment on it. I will not tolerate disrespect on my art nor my page.

Now, to continue. Does disapproving of something mean that you hate it? No. I disapprove of many things that people chose to do(yes, in my faith and in my mind, being gay/lesbian/ect, is a choice). BUT, with that being said, I do not hold those actions against the person and hate them. Two of my ex boyfriends are gay. Do I hate them because we broke up and they're gay? No. In fact, one of them is my best guy friend. We're practically siblings to each other. I care about him very deeply and I love him in spite of the choices he makes.

That's what God does when it comes to us and our sins. He loves us in SPITE of what we chose to do. That's why he sent his son to die for us on the cross, though his son was blameless and pure. Jesus CHOSE to die for us because he knew that was the only way to reconnect God and his children. ALL of God's wrath was put on Jesus when he died on the cross, he has nothing but love for us. God's arms are always open to us to come home to him, he wants us to come home no matter what our past.

Again, any disrespectful comments will be HIDDEN. It's ok to disagree, but be respectful about it. And I do ask one thing, I have been called multiple names because I stand up for my right to a different opinion; but you know what, I'm allowed to have a different opinion even if it's not what everyone else considers 'normal'.
